Christmas Gammon Recipe. A large ham just sings Christmas but sometimes it can be a struggle to find a big enough pan to cook it in. Mix together honey sugar soy sauce mustard and orange marmalade.
Add the cider or ginger ale ensuring the vegetables and gammon are covered. Preheat the oven to 180C. If the cola doesnt cover the gammon then top up with water until it is fully submerged.
Loosely cover with tinfoil.
Return the ham to the oven for about 1 hour and baste frequently until beautifully golden and crisp. Preheat the oven to 150C130C FanGas 2. Add the cloves bay leaves star anise and peppercorns and pour in the cola. Put the soaked ham on top and add water to 3-5cm deep.
